A few weeks ago I was contacted by Fit Plus Wear about reviewing their Sound Solution compression capris. When I checked out the pants on their website, I immediately loved the idea—an inner pocket on the side of the pants that holds your phone—no need for an arm band!
When it comes to workout gear, it took me a little while, but I really have learned that the pants are the piece that you want to invest in. How annoying is it when you’re working out and pulling your pants up every 5 minutes? Exactly. A good pair of compression pants just can’t be beat. And I loved these from the minute I put them on.
I’m really sorry if you’re feeling jealous of my professional pictures. That’s what happens when I ask Nathan to take pictures as he’s running out the door to work. And less than an hour after I woke up ha!
Anywho, these pants do. Not. Move. I’m telling you, I could run a marathon [yea, right!] and they wouldn’t budge. They’re also on the higher-waisted side—they hit right below my belly button—which I love. Plus, my Samsung Galaxy, which is a decently large phone, fits great in the side pocket and is completely out of the way. They fit true to size too, but they do have a size chart on their website if you have any questions when ordering.
Can you tell I think you should order a pair? The cherry on topis the discount code they provided for my readers. Just enter 2HE90CGR5Y4U at checkout for 20% off!
Tops
The pink top that I’m wearing is also one of my favorite pieces. I got it from a Gap clearance about 2 years ago and it’s still holding up! Obviously they don’t have that top anymore, but I’d venture to say that the Motion Racer Tank is a good one too.
A couple of weeks ago, I won an awesome giveaway from Brittany that included Musselmans Big Cups and a $25 Nike gift card. The gift card was spent almost immediately on one of my new favorite long sleeves.
The Dri-FIT Knit Epic Training Crew is so light and comfortable. The top 1/4 of the shirt is a more breathable mesh which I think is great for running. There is also a wider band at the bottom that hits right around the hips and really holds it in place. Bonus: it’s on sale! I’m not big on paying $80 for a workout top, but seeing that it was on sale and having the gift card made it a no-brainer for me.
Shoes
Finally, I’m loving my Brooks.
I was psyched to find these shoes at Marshalls for $40 and they’re really holding up well. And not only do I wear them almost everyday to the gym, but I wear them to work when I’m on my feet for hours at a time. I tried on tons of shoes before I found these and I’d definitely get these again.
