I deem this week hell week. I’ve recently started working at a new gym on top of Athleta and my existing gym. My schedule is pretty nutso but I at least made it through Monday which was the longest one. Success! There is, however, a light at the end of the tunnel. Next week, we’ll be all moved into our new place and I’ll hopefully iron out some crazy schedule kinks. Not to mention, once we move, we’ll have a whole slew of visitors! It’s going to be an exciting 6 months ๐Ÿ™‚

Sometimes when you have big plans for the weekend, it makes the week go slower. I’m really hoping that’s not the case for me! This Saturday, Nathan and I will be celebrating 11 years together; we’ve only been married for a year and a half but having been together for so long before being married, we just can’t give up the celebrations.

We started talking the other day about what we were going to do, which of course leads to where we’re going to have dinner. Because really, good food and drink? What else is important? Oh right.. the company. Well, low and behold, Nathan had a little trick up his sleeve! I got an email invite for dinner Saturday but with no location; I spent quite a bit of time guessing but after a few dropped hints, I figured it out. Gather is on the docket and I can’t wait! Everything looks and sounds incredible. I’m going to have a really hard time figured out what to order and I can’t wait to share the pictures!

Well, I’m happy to report that last night was fun! I’m so glad I was able to find a seder to go to and this was definitely a family that reminded me of my own. The random breaks for song, a Rabbi rap, lots of laughter, and an extremely full belly. Other than being home with my own family, I couldn’t have asked for more and I’m so thankful to have found such a welcoming group of people. I’m also super excited because Nathan decided to surprise me with tickets to the A’s game this Sunday. I think watching the Orioles game yesterday really got us extra pumped for baseball season. Holy cow, Monday FLEW by! I got a bit of a late start but once everything got moving, I’m not really sure where the day went. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous here. I can never complain about 70 and sunny and daylight savings time is probably the best ever.

ALSO! We felt our very first California earthquake Sunday night. It was 6.9 magnitude off the coast of Eureka, about 4 hours north of us, and between feeling the shaking, the super creepy episode of True Detective, and hearing random noises around the apartment, we were a bit on edge. Ha! But we made it through ๐Ÿ™‚ Anywho.. regardless of my scatterbrain thoughts, here are my faves from last week!

Today should be an interesting day. They’re shutting off the water in my building from 9am – 2pm. I get back from the gym after 9 so I guess it’s a good thing Nathan doesn’t have to be home with me haha. I think that makes for a perfect plan to take a walk to Trader Joe’s, yes? It’s trouble being walking distance now but I love it ๐Ÿ˜‰
