Yesterday was a really special day. It was my grandfather’s 93rd birthday! And once again, skype came to the rescue! My family went over to my grandparents’ house for dessert and my mom setup the iPad so I could “be there” with them.

He was completely baffled by the whole thing and it was pretty funny to see his reaction when he realized that I was actually there and my mom wasn’t just showing him a picture! Having that opportunity totally made my day. Technology is a hell of a thing! What’s the count now.. 6 days? 🙂

Back to normal! Nathan’s home and I have to admit, it was really strange to be here without him for 4 days [we’re not actually attached at the hip ;)]. I certainly kept busy but it’s nice to have him back!

Tonight I’m headed into the city for a free Barry’s Bootcamp class thanks to ClassPass [. I’ve never been to Barry’s Bootcamp but I’m psyched; I’m thinking that’s definitely my kind of workout. I’ve heard really great things and I’m really glad I have the opportunity to check it out with ClassPass but I’m a little scared the workout might kill me ha! I’ll report back though.. it’ll be good to mix it up.

Hot diggity! Yesterday was a whirlwind with lots of good things coming soon. It looks like things are starting to fall into place around here and I’ll really be getting into a good routine. I’m busy running around like a crazy person getting everything together for visitors this week.. I even hung up a shelf yesterday! Side note: I’m really bad at hanging things. I’m digging it now that Nathan helped me re-hang it in the right spot. Ha!

Holy cow, Monday FLEW by! I got a bit of a late start but once everything got moving, I’m not really sure where the day went. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous here. I can never complain about 70 and sunny and daylight savings time is probably the best ever.

ALSO! We felt our very first California earthquake Sunday night. It was 6.9 magnitude off the coast of Eureka, about 4 hours north of us, and between feeling the shaking, the super creepy episode of True Detective, and hearing random noises around the apartment, we were a bit on edge. Ha! But we made it through 🙂 Anywho.. regardless of my scatterbrain thoughts, here are my faves from last week!
